Seems like a lot has happened since we last posted in February. Needless to say the daffodils have now finished after an encouraging season – especially from the new online shop. We’re now starting to make plans for lifting the bulbs later this year.
We have also finished planting out all of our pumpkin plants for the 2016 Pumpkin Patch.
Here they are growing in the nursery at the beginning of May.
Still on the subject of pumpkins, our old Pumpkin Patch was reseeded last year to create a wild flower meadow and here it is now. It’s an encouraging start and hopefully it will continue to mature over the coming years and keep attracting plenty of wildlife.
There’s plenty of wildlife activity in our new woodland at the moment. We planted thousands of native woodland trees in 2011 and they’re now growing well and starting to compliment the surrounding area to provide a great wildlife habitat.
Finally, we’ve received lots of enquiries about our 2016 Pick Your Own season, so there’ll be more about that in the next post..
